Ceramic Tile & Grout

Ceramic and porcelain tile should be sealed for the very same reasons you should seal natural stone and glass: the protective, non-stick barrier created by our patented sealants is your best protection against stains and damage. Grout is the most porous surface in your home and easily absorbs dirt and stains, which can lead to permanent damage. For this reason, grout should be sealed at the earliest opportunity.

Ceramic and porcelain tile are often used in showers and attracts the same water build-up and soap scum that can appear on glass shower doors. Diamond Bond can protect your porcelain and ceramic tile from these elements. Once sealed, your ceramic tile and glass will be much easier to clean.

Diamond Bond creates an impermeable barrier on tile and grout surfaces, protecting them from spills and stains. In this video, note how the blue liquid simply beads up on the Diamond Bond treated surface and is easily blown away! Just imagine how much easier Diamond Bond makes it to clean your valuable tile and granite surfaces!

UNTREATED CERAMIC TILE & GROUT

Notice how the blue dye sits atop the surface of this untreated tile and grout. Left untreated, this will cause permanent damage.

TREATED CERAMIC TILE & GROUT

Once treated with Diamond Bond, the blue dye pools atop the surface of the tile and grout and can be easily wiped away.

Care Instructions for Ceramic Tile & Grout

Cleanse your sealed porcelain bath fixtures and tile with a mild cleanser such as Diamond Bond Cleaner and Revitalizer. Avoid using products that are highly abrasive, such as Ajax, Comet, Bon-Ami and other products. You should also avoid using acidic cleansers such as Tilex or CLR, as these can harm your porcelain surfaces. Read the label on the cleaners you are using carefully. If you have a cleaning service, it is a good idea to set out the products you want them to use.
